SeekersGuidance Courses contain the three keys to successful online learning that you need - learning, reviewing, and asking:
Learning:
- access to downloadable lessons (MP3)
Reviewing:
- review questions for each lesson
- supplemental readings and diagrams for most lessons
Asking:
- Forums where students may ask the instructor questions anytime
- live Question & Answer sessions with the instructor
To access the course, students log in after the session start date using their specific user name and password. This will bring them to the next screen which displays all the courses they have registered for - from here they click on which course they wish to access.
At SeekersGuidance, we realize that today's students don't necessarily have time to sit and listen to lessons while being confined to sitting in front of one's computer. This is why our courses are available in MP3 format. One may download all course audio, and listen to the MP3 files at their convenience - whether it be at home, in the car, or even while grocery shopping.
Once one have completed the audio, one may review what they have learned by completing review questions after each lesson. This consolidates the main points of the lesson, and would also give the student an indication of how well they have grasped the key learning points. From these questions, students are able to ascertain whether they need to listen to the lesson again, or move onto the next lesson.
With each course, instructors also assign further readings or create diagrams to further a student's knowledge into the subject being taught. This gives students a wider scope of learning, and a better means to review the subject, even after the course has ended.
Finally, no course is complete without the ability of a student to ask questions. To this end, SeekersGuidance has created the SeekersForum, in which students may post questions they have about the course - 24 hours of the day, seven days a week. The instructor will answer questions posted within 24 hours. Students also have an opportunity to attend live question and answer sessions with the instructor after every four to five lessons. This allows students to ask about any final matters they would like clarification on.
With these three keys: learning, reviewing and asking, we hope to best provide you with the best elements of any effective learning experience - all available online. Try out one of our new courses today - registration for the Fall 2008 session is now open.
